Girl Power!!

Girl power is something we feel really passionate about here at PV - as an all-female run company, we're all about supporting one another and making women feel great about themselves. For most of us, girl power brings back memories of Union Jack dresses, buffalo platforms and high kicks - taking form in one of our favourite girl bands of all time - The Spice Girls!!

However, as much as it was the tag line of the 90s - Girl Power started a long time ago and was part of popular culture in your Granny's time! This is Rosie the Riveter - an international symbol for strong women and their role in World War 2! This poster has been copied in art, tattoos and fashion - still standing as a role model for all modern women!

Who are your #girlpower icons?

Strawberry Fields Forever

"Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields"

It's no secret that we're fans of The Beatles here at Parma Vintage, so when we saw this gorgeous strawberry collection, we had to name it after one of our favourite songs! Each piece is made from wood and hand painted for a super-cute authentic vintage feel! Wear with this season's it-print gingham for the perfect summer look!

Stay tuned for this collection hitting the Parma Vintage Website next week!

"Would you consider Brigitte Bardot as one of your style icons?" Our answer to the question is definitely oui! The French starlet is known worldwide for her incredible style and even has a specific neckline named after her - forever leaving a legacy in the fashion world. PV Top Vintage Hunks

Did you ever watch Disney movies and dream of meeting your own Prince Charming? We did the same, although we also have a soft spot for all those vintage gents! They always seemed incredibly cool and suave, to say the least. This week marked the birthday of a Mr Marlon Brando, one of our favs! So to pay homage, we've selected a few of our top vintage hunks...

First, the birthday boy himself! He went on to become The Godfather, but we will always remember him for his dashing looks.

Ol' Blue Eyes Frank Sinatra swooned us all with his velvet voice and dashing smile. Love this photo of Frank in his sailor days!

Oh Gene! Gene Kelly was a man with style, perfect bone structure and sure knew how to dance! We're in love.

You might remember Gregory Peck for his famous role in Roman Holiday with Audrey Hepburn. We wouldn't mind heading to Roma with this handsome chap!

Our very own Scottish gem, Sean Connery! He was even in Mr Universe! Pssttt- Sean is still our favourite Bond!

Part of us can't stop laughing when we see Tony Curtis because we can't stop picturing him dressed up as a lady in "Some Like It Hot" - but then we see photos like this and swooon!

Famous lines, that face and a certain attitude-filled swagger - Clint Eastwood, you can be our cowboy anyday!
